One of the most popular automotive seat upgrades for our customers is the installation of heated seats. It is not hard to understand why, given the harsh winters and brutal cold temperatures we are accustomed to in Northeast Ohio. Aftermarket heated seat installation is a great investment in your personal comfort—and warmth—during your winter commute. When your heated seats are professionally installed, you will be reaping the benefits for many years to come!
Can You Add Heat to Leather and Cloth Seats?
Heated seats are very common additions to leather vehicle interiors. This is because leather does not adapt well to weather conditions. For example, in the summer, your seats may be too hot to the touch and in the winter, they offer little warmth. Heated seat installation makes your leather seats much more comfortable.
That being said, it is also very possible to add heating elements to cloth seats. Our team explained more about the installation process in our blog about heated seat installations, if you are interested in learning more about how it’s done!
Heated Seat Installation at D&S Automotive
A word of caution: If you want to install heated seats in your vehicle, leave it to the professionals. Some individuals purchase and try to install heated seat kits themselves, usually with poor results. The installation of heated seats is not overly complex, but it can be very dangerous for you, and your vehicle, if not handled correctly. In the worst case scenario, improperly installed heating coils could overheat and catch on fire.
Our skilled technicians can install a heated seat in 5–7 hours. If you schedule your service in late summer or fall, you and your vehicle will be ready for winter. In fact, with the comfort of a heated driver’s seat, you may find yourself excited for the seasons to change!
The price per seat starts at $310, but it does vary depending on vehicle model and year. We do offer a 10% discount for Farm Bureau members and United States veterans.
